I hated eggs my whole life till i owned chickens now I love eggs. Store bought when you scramble them smell like wet dogs haha.. My dad who thought this whole chicken thing was strange really enjoys the eggs now. We call the store bought the "anemic ones"
I feel like store bought eggs almost have a chemical smell when you cook them, kind of beach-y. It makes me turn green.
There's no way I could ever go back to eating eggs from the grocery store, even if I ever lost my hens (heaven forbid!) I would still find an outlet for fresh eggs. They are just so much BETTER! In the winter time when the girls slow down production it's always hard, especially around the holidays when we need the eggs for baking.
It almost makes me want to get a few Production Red hens that will lay straight through the coldest months guaranteed.
