Sandy, It was fun to spend more time with you on Saturday! I am so looking forward to Stockton!!! I've already asked for both days off although I'm assuming that most of the action will be on Saturday 1/28 so that's when we will meet up. Hors dourve/wine tasting sounds great to me!
That reminds me, I forgot to say thank you to Dawn for bringing that wonderful wine! THANK YOU, Dawn!
Sounds like fun to me too.
Debi, Makayla bugs me about Olivia all the time. They met last year at the Stockton show and Olivia kept her busy for me. The way her and Monet were getting along, I figured they had seen eachother before. I spent more time talking to the girls. LOL They were fun.
Oh and I met Collin?? too. Nice young man. My 15 year old doesn't go to things since he's usually to shy, but it was fun for me to see another boy with a ponytail. LOL Dakotah's I think will be history soon though.
I love long hair, but he's about ready to donate it and start again.
I wasn't hungry, but everything looked so good that eating was all I got done. Or many I was hungry and just the ordeal of trying to get there made me feel like I wasn't. LOL
I think it's finally time I find a way to take my Sportsman to the feedstore and have the guy see whats wrong with it. Did great before Bill died, but every since (like everything else here) it just keeps messing up. No one is laying, so I guess it's a good time to get it ready for when they are. I could put lights out, but everyone is moulting. Well, not the youngsters and Ziggy and the ladies are done. Funny, they don't look any different to me than beofre they started. They've always been so pretty and once I had saddles on them they were perfect.
I spent all day yesterday out digging up and smoothing out a section of my backyard. Mind you, Bill had been bragging about how I'd have it landscaped a month after we moved in. Well that was the worse time of my life. Nothing at all got done and since I need to get my two peach bin coops up and I've had to tear apart 2 coops, it's time to get it done. Plus the rain is starting up and I want warm spaces for some of the birds that have been making themselves at home on my back porch. LOL I have 3 cockerels that think their spot is on the top and middle of a large run. I can't reach them when I go out to put them away. I decided yesterday that There is going to be a space just for the boys, minus the Game roo of course. A big place for all the LF girls and then the smaller places for the bantams. I only have pairs or trios of them and I figure they should be housed together for the warmth.
Most of what I have out there is open air and they get covered with tarps when needed. I had my 3 new babies off on their own yesterday, since it was nice outside and they would freak out when I went in the garage. I came in and did somethings after dark and then a while later I remembered they were outside. They seemed fine, but I just couldn't leave them out. I wasn't sure what they were used to. Granted Lowrider is much smaller than them and hangs with the big birds, but has been out there since the middle of summer. Anyway I have a problem with wiring in my garage. Had to move a brooder onto the covered back porch and I was going to put these guys into a big crate I have out there, but the little AM looked at me, like "You're kidding right?" Soooo. They're still in my kitchen this morning. I'll take them back outside after I post. BTW the heat isn't on in my house, so it's not like they have a big difference in temperature, but I wanted to be able to see them. I didn't want them to get cold. I know they need to get used to it, but oh well. The kitchen floor sweeps and mops geat after shavings are tossed out.
OK time to get Kayla ready for school and get more work done out back, so Karen can get my peach bins out of her way. I tell ya, I don't know what I'd do without that woman. She is truely a wonderful and kind person. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so.
