Bay Area BYCers!

Hi all, I just thought I'd mention the pullets have gone to a lovely home in Walnut Creek. Thank you for your interest!
I'm glad that you found a good home for them! I was sitting on my hands because I was sure tempted to take them! My head hen is a black Australorp!

I would like to share couple of photos of my Ko Shamo, and Modern Game, babies with you. They are beyond adorable, and very tiny when born.

Oh how lovely! I hope you share picks as the moderns grow their stilty legs. I always think the Ko Shamo look like Modern Games on steroids.

Thank you, Wishing4Wings! Ohhh, the Ko Shamo and the Game Birds stole my heart! When they were born, I was scared to handle the Modern Games with the fear of breaking them. I mean, their legs were needle thin..but, they were feisty, very active tiny little babies. I didn't think those legs could get any longer but, it did. Now they look like tiny Egrets..

Wonderful photos! Yes, I liked the Modern Games too when I first saw them in person; they have a certain kind of dignity. My son, however, saw Seramas and fell in love, so we are starting our bantam experience with these two.

They grew up so quickly. The pullet just started laying her tiny eggs last week. Much excitement around here!
Two are not enough. We are looking to get a few more, so if anyone has Seramas available, let me know.

I'm interested in the temperament of the Modern Games. If they are non-aggressive, it would be fun to have some in the bantam coop. An excellent contrast to the Seramas.

I have them. I love those little guys. Even if you get one that isn't as friendly, I don't think those pee wees can do any damage. Now the bantam AMs??? Yeah, much attitude. But Moderns are great. I got them for my grand daughter to show and there are a few kids showing some of my birds now too. I love them.

Your Seramas are adorable, and so obvious that they are well loved and cared for. Yes! those tiny eggs are priceless!!

The Red Pyle Game Bird Bantams which I shared the photos of are the progeny of the top of the line, show winning, carefully bred birds. The parents are owned by Walt (fowlman01). They are beyond belief gentle, highly intelligent tiny little birds who love to be petted just like one would a puppy dog.
Years ago, when my daughter, Nicole, wanted to get involved in the show world, I went out of my way to find the best that I could for her, and was beyond delighted when she beat me in the ring, many times over... Well, it was different species but, never the less, same joy........

How wonderful that your son is interested in birds, and would help him very much if he has a bird which is bred up to the standard in conformation as well as temperament to show and win with. When children have quality animals which they can identify with, and awarded for caring, training, and showing their charge, gives them something to look forward to. Yes! it teaches them lessons which they shall remember the rest of their lives.

I would love to help your son to have worthy birds which he can enjoy as pets, to show, and be proud of, and win with. Well, of course one which would fit well with your existing bantams.. I believe the Bantam Game Birds is a perfect world for a young boy, and would be more than happy to help..please do feel free to PM me about it.

Nicely said lua!

I will have sereamas again once my 2 girls start laying. They are currently brooding one unkillable marans chick. They are terrible mothers!

The 2 I have right now in the brooder I think are little boys. One is 100% a boy and one is iffy . I have 2 smooth girls one an a and one a b and a frizzled boy. They are nutmeg ( called nutters for the way she tries and get in the house) snickerdoodle and snicker daddy the frizzled roo.

I'm in San jose
