I wish I had fertile eggs to give you! But my hens won't even give me any...
I think Happy Chooks is in the Sac area, she has a Welsummer roo, so she might have some pure Wellie eggs if you wanted to try and hatch some of them. Also, there's a breeder in Concord that has Light Sussex and Barnevelders.
I checked with Happy Chooks & she has some eggs, but they're mostly olive eggers or EE mixes... I am going to wait to see what color egg my olive-egger pullet produces before I try for another one. My girl came from one of Wynette's eggs (although gryeyes hatched out the eggs, and I acquired the pullet from her).
We lost a RIR recently, so now we need another large brown egg-layer so we might just hatch out a couple of RIRs and hope at least one is a pullet (any roos will end up either rehomed or turned into dinner).
If this goes well, we are hoping to acquire another eggie or two at the Stockton event in January! I am sooooo looking foward to that!
Cheryl, to be honest with you, I would REALLY love one of those wheaten marans if you have any left or if you hatch out any more between now and then! We have a light brahma & I'm falling in love with the feather-legged breeds (it's only a matter of time before there are bantam cochins in the yard....)
Edited to note that I quoted the wrong message... because it's Christmas Eve & I've been working all day and slightly distracted LOL... I meant to quote message #1064... ugh.
