Bay Area BYCers!

Melina, the chicks are growing, faster than I seem to remember. The Wheaten is starting to feather in all over her little body, she's got tail springs now and some on her back and neck. She's at the beginning of that "akward" stage...

The Pene, I'm a bit concerned that it still could be a boy. The only place it's feathered in are it's wings and I'm starting to see some color coming in from it's shoulders, that too often is a tell tale sign that the chick is a little boy. Oh well I guess.

I got my Dorota from Murray McMurray hatchery in the springtime, she's nothing too special, but she's nice to look at. Sorry it took me a minute to get back to you, but I've been told, "You want to get rid of my Polish, no! She isn't going anywhere!"

Anna, thank you very much. I love my Orps, I can't imagine not having the flock now.

wolftracks, what pullets do or will you have for sale? Also, what color are your Penedesencas?

Liamm_1, that's my biggest concern too, no meat for all the intensive labor. I've heard that raising rabbits for meat production is MUCH more rewarding. That and you can process rabbits certain breeds of rabbit at 8-10 weeks. Although, plucking a chicken is probably easier than skinning a rabbit...

So folks, when can we finalize the Ameraucana order? I want to get it submitted before John run's out of chicks!

I'm on for the one silver but would love to have at least one more to keep him/her company. Jeremy, if you can time a hatching of your girls eggs to coincide with these little ones then that works for me. But if anyone wants to give up one or two of theirs, I will take them!

Debi, let me PM Norm and see if he will give up 1 of his chicks, he had originally only wanted 8 but I coerced him into 9 so that we could meet the 50 minimum. I'm sure he wouldn't mind letting one go so you can have 2. I can and will try to coincide Blue Wheaten incubation to hatch when these babies arrive, give or take a few days.

Everyone else, hang tight! Let's not go switching up orders now!

I'll give up 2 chicks Jeremy

Take one of each color off for me/

Partridge Penes

I should have some BRs, BOs, White Silkie, maybe a couple of SLs, RIRs, Leghorns for sale. All hens or pullets.

Oh a couple of EEs and some EE roos and maybe a MFDU roo (maybe 2 of them), and a few different Polish.

Also have some Game hens for sale. These are really nice hens and I have several colors. Just keeping 7 of them and the rest go.

There might be a BR roo for sale also.

Are you sure? I just PMed Norm, I'm waiting for his response now whether or not he'll give up one chick to Debi. If he says yes, which I'm sure he will, there won't be a need for you to give any up. Let's wait and see what he says, 'kay?

Where did you get your Partridge Penes?

Alright...

Here that folks? We've got 2 more chicks up for grabs!

With the amount of people we have going in on this order shipping is going to be hardly anything at all for each of us.

BTW- Do you all want the chicks vaccinated against Marek's disease?

I do.

Two from mediazel, but they were mixed with Wheaten, but I have 4 more Partridge from hmmmmmmm I have to look it up. Bought them from someone who bought them from a show breeder. I have no idea where my info is, but I'll have it by the time I know I have chicks.

Right now I'm just trying to get my FBCMs to come through with some eggs so I can replace my flock. They're getting pretty old and my husband bought them just before he died because I wanted them so bad. So have to get some chicks. I do have some other BCMs that will be laying soon, but I want these Davis birds to start laying again.
