Eventually I am going to get into trouble by keeping up with this thread...I've already expanded the coop twice and doubled the flock.
It's a good thing the law keeps me from having a roo.

I had to process my roosters yesterday.
I'd been trying to line up homes for them and then having folks fall through (or just live too far away) for over a month now, and the neighbors were complaining about the noise.
I wasn't as bad as I thought.
The first was a little sloppy, but the second went better.
My vegan neighbor even came out to see the process... she handled it pretty well.

Lostbody that's great! We need to learn how to do that. Right now a friend has been doing it for us and we share but we want to move to the country and really should learn to do this for ourselves!
