Congratulations!!!
IDK what I am going to do with 45 chicks! 14 are sold but that still leaves me with 30 depending on how this hatch goes. Now you've got me wanting to rush to the bator to see if anything is happening early here too. Just locked down last night so I doubt it. But temps were a little on the high side for a few days so they might be a day early.
Next hatch will have the new heat flex tape, for a gentler heat, and the much much better thermostat so that hatch should be more predictable.
Cheryl that is a great hatch for shipped eggs! Congrats!!!
Kim let us know what happens! I had someone stealing my eggs for awhile! I couldn't believe someone would just go into a person's yard and steal stuff!!! Here in this neighborhood it was unheard of a few years ago. But putting the dog out everyday put a stop to that! Then I just had to worry about the dog getting the idea of breaking into the gals pen. Never happened though with this gal
(those who know me know I had a problem canine in the past). I still can't get over the fact that someone would steal your rooster!
Also congrats to you
Anna B! Finally no more freeloading!
I talked to about 15 guys ealier and showed them pics of Bon Jovi. Told them I would give a few Cuckoo Marans chicks to whoever found and returned him. These are the guys that have like 25-30 Game roos. The one guy looked at the pictures and said "wow, he's worth some money." He really does look great in person. So much better than his pictures from my phone. He's gorgeous.I was trying to find a way to buy 2 hens from the Stockton show. Both took 1st. One was actually a pullet. I love my blue birds. Just wish they were like a deep blue. LOL
Someone on my thread about Bon Jovi put a link to an article about all the animals being stolen lately. Heck I'd hatch chicks out for someone is they brought him home.
I Had someone steal eggs before Bill died. Couldn't understand why I wouldn't get eggs for about 3 days. Guess they grabbed what they needed and then waited until they were out and came back. Ya know if they're hungry and need eggs I have layers. I have mixed roos I'd give up, but geez, just let me know what's wrong and ask. Don't take my favorite bird.
