I'm in the same boat. Mine started with laryngitis and now has settled in my chest. We were in Placerville for the weekend to celebrate my oldest daughter's birthday and it was the pits not being able to talk! I hope that we both recover quickly!

Just thought that I would post a pic of 5 of my 7 girls. They are hatchery birds so not top quality but I love them and think that they are beautiful!

They were enjoying the morning sun and keeping a close eye on me. They weren't too sure about the camera and were hoping that it was some new kind of treat dispenser.

Not quality birds?!! They are gorgeous!

My favorite hen is a hatchery BO and she is the most wonderful dominant fowl I've ever owned! She keeps the peace in my flock with just a word or two and has rarely had to do more than that to keep all in line. Though once, when she had to deal with 2 roos that would not listen, she actually launched her body between them like a rocket, with a loud holler that put them both in their place and they never went at it again! She is awesome!!!

Thank you, Dawn! LOL about your dominant girl! I would have loved to see her put the boys in their place! Our dominant bird is a hatchery BA named Precious.

My 9 year old calls her Devil! We can't have a roo but Precious does a great job of watching over the flock. She is the one who sounds the alarm whenever danger is near and has even stood between the other birds and the neighbor's cat. I love her for that but DD gets upset when she picks on the other birds. She has never drawn blood and the others have learned to give her her space. Here are a couple pics of our "Precious":

Thank you! We are excited about the breeder chicks we have coming at the end of the month but I can't imagine loving them any more than we love our first 7 girls.

Melina and Debi, I hope you both feel better soon.

Debi, you should so submit that first image for the POW, it's really cute! Some of my sweetest girls are hatchery stock, there's nothing wrong with them!

These just arrived for me about a half hour ago...

I wasn't expecting them so early, so they're temporarily being housed in a paper box brooder until we can get to The Home Depot to find sonething bigger.
