Bay Area BYCers!

I really hope you get to retire to Ecuador. I retired last year and we're waiting until my wife can and we hope to move to someplace closer to the equator. My wife is from the Dominican Republic so it may be there that we ultimately end up.

Awesome!

My hubby works for UC Santa Cruz and he said that the tsumani bounced some boats around but that was about it. So there was damage to some boats but that was it. He lives and works there during the week and comes home for the weekends. He has been talking about renting/buying a boat to live on in the harbor but that dream ended today. The media was playing it up big and he had 30 of his workers call in sick because of the tsunami.

Jeremy,

Can you tell if they are boys or girls yet?

I hope that nobody happened to be on those boats...

I just asked DH about that. He said that he didn't hear of anyone getting hurt. One guy was pulled out of the water after he fell in while trying to tie off a boat.

Oh, now you have the bug too, Steph! LOL! What are you going to hatch first? What kind of incubator did you get? You're going to have so much fun with it.

We're presently less than 24 hours into lockdown, and we got our first pip about 3:30 this afternoon! A little porcelain d'uccle. Hoping we awaken to a chick or two in the morning! This is only day 19 so I was really surprised we had a pip.

There's also another 30 eggs in the other bator that are on day 7.

Anybody want chicks? hehehe.

Anna, the first one I'm unsure about, but the second one looks like a little pullet to me.

Give it a few more weeks then post some more pictures. They look really cute!

Actually, Jolene is behind Dolly, who is on the right. We will each get a feather legged pullet and one clean shanked, each a grey base and each a yellow base!

One more of four of them. They are coloring in so nicely!
