How many do you have, Kim? Holidays are pretty wild around here with my six kids, two spouses, and four grandkids! That's 14 around our big dinner table!

have either of you grandmothers read The Grandmother Principles by Suzette Haden Elgin? If not, you should consider it. It's a great read.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to check it out!

I have 28 grandkids. I read here that's it. LOL

Yeah Bill was shocked at our first holiday. Then when he found out most were at my house, he looked at me like I was nuts. He was great though. I'd be up for two days cooking and baking and after it was all over, he'd clean everything. Man it was great. Last few holidays have been at my oldest's house now.

People would find out I was cooking for like 40-50 people and ask Bill why they hadn't been invited. So he'd invite them! LOL There's always adopted family around too. My sister died from breast cancer in 2006 and her 4 kids come and now her 2 grandkids. Then my youngest sister and her little girl and husband. My brothers rarely go anywhere for holidays. Then I have 4 more siblings that are my dad's after me, but they're all in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.

I think Christmas at my daughter's was maybe 45, since several weren't there. Still!

OH I meant to ask.
Does anyone want some of my BCM x Game eggs? They seem to grow really fast like the Games so should be early layers and great for processing. I have mostly FBCM and quail in the bator right now and trying not to put everything in until after the Easter hatch is set. I set a few pink and one green egg today too. Now that I've found my green egg girl's hiding place.

28 grandchildren! That'a a lot these days. Teach them all that they need to take care of grandma when she gets old!

I've been tethered to my computer all day just waiting... I'm just assuming since we didn't hear from Jeremy by now that it will be tomorrow. Hope the little ones are okay!

Sorry guys!

After a third call to the post office and several emails back and forth with John Blehm it looks like our chicks won't be here until early tomorrow morning. John said not to worry too much as it's a large order so the babies should be warm and safe.

I'm sorry I've been somewhat absent this evening, I was at work at 5:15 this morning, so I took a nap in the late afternoon.

To make things even more stressful my Splash Orpington cockerel from Bamachicken was suppose to arrive by noon today, too. So not only did the PO get calls about our babies but I was very upset that after paying $80 for express guaranteed next day shipping, my boy is somehow not here...

Fortunately the PO will be returning all shipping costs for my cockerel, so that's good.

I will be sure to let everyone know just as soon as the babies arrive, y'all can unglue yourselves from the computer but stay close to your phones.
