Bay Area BYCers!

I know those precious babies are in the best hands ever, in fact I'm convinced that you will have more time and space to work on the project than I would have, therefore the outcome will be amazing. They couldn't have gone to a better chicken mama xoxo

Congratulations Cheryl!!!... I would be gutted if I were facing the same thing. Its Funny, most of the birds (4 of 5) I got from you are roos, and at first I was a bit bummed. Now I get it. Roosters are gorgeous and serve their purpose. So sorry you will have to give up the boys, though hopefully a forthcoming move to more rural areas will allow further exploration of Roos. Anyhow, I am so happy for you this has worked out at least as well as it has. Your hens are bigger than most peoples roos anyhow. Good luck going forward with the house and girls... Great news... nice to have good thoughts on grey days.

So sorry about the no more breeding, but maybe if you move.....? And what about keeping ownership of any really nice roos and keeping him at friends places in exchange for breeding? Esp with your new Brahmas? Good Luck to you, this story will give hope to others in your situation.

Ditto, Cheryl - Mary's the BESTEST!

This is why I love BYC so much...all the huge hearts, understanding, shoulders to cry on...and those same peeps are ALWAYS here to help celebrate with you when you have a victory! GO, FRIENDS OF CHERYL! My only wish is that I was closer so that I, too, could lend a hand. BEST of luck with this, Cheryl. I think the City and that neighbor have picked the WRONG mamma jamma to F with!

I'm sure lucky to have you Wynette, now keeping the SPPR breeding under-the-radar....maybe by the time these little ones are grown, I'll be liv'in in the country...

I am so glad to hear (read) this news, Cheryl. I've had you much in my thoughts and prayers lately. I'm so sorry you'll be losing Sir Giles and won't be breeding anymore, but I am so glad about your girls getting to stay! I can't imagine a chicken-less Cheryl Cohen... that's just wrong on more levels than I can count!

Congratulations on getting to keep the girls, on rockin' your presentation at work, and we'll continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Cheryl, That is a generous offer. I'll let things cool out a bit for you and then come up. The only problem is I know if I come up, Ill end up with more than I can afford... LOL... You always have such interesting birds. It is inspiring to see such grace in difficult times. Good Luck, Luke
