Bay Area BYCers!

I posted them on CL last weekend. I tried to bribe people by offering pullets if they took roos. However, I won't let any pullets go if the roos stay. So, no one took me up on it. With this many pullets, I shouldn't need to get any more chickens for several years.

I'm trying to detach myself from the little boys, who aren't so little anymore.

I am a grandpa, but this is my other hobby......kind of on the other end of the scale from poultry. It balances my life.
Here is me at Infineon Raceway with the right front wheel off the ground.

Good for you Walt.....but so NOT for me I am such a whoos!!!! I do however think it's great that you persue what makes you happy in life. So many people don't do that. My chickens are enough for me right now but I am continually trying new things, but it will never be anything with wheels......LOL

Cheryl - Just the standard canning recipe for peaches at my house, but I'd be happy to share. I think I have a pickled green tomato recipe from my grandma. I'll look tonight when I get home and let you know.

And it is very hard NOT to eat all the huckleberries around Yellowstone! They are fabulous.

thx! I'm now on a quest for canned or fresh huckleberries, those huckleberry pancakes made me lose my mind. The recipes would be really appreciated. My grandma apparently made the best too, so Im trying to find something from that era! perfect

I have raced cars since I was 16.....a long time. I try to take care of myself and keep busy or I may get into mischief.

URGENT help needed folks, my favorite hen ever, Oprah, is ill, molting terribly, but this am, found her not moving, huge crop so I squeezed it out and all the liquid came out of her throat. I have her inside now with me, she is not moving. wings hanging down, no respiratory problems - no sour smell

If you have a heat lamp, put that on her. Not too hot, just enough to keep her warm. I'm not sure what you do in addition to that....it is more of a waiting game now. If that helps or she recovers some on her own, you will have to give her water. I would not do it now while she is stressed though.

Hello from San Lorenzo.

I'm new to chickens, we don't have any birds yet but hope to learn from this forum and use it to help us decide what breeds to raise.
