'Tis a crock, said the cock.
(Actually, I have no idea what to think about the vaccine. For me, if I have to take it, I might... unless it's made with kids' parts, in which case, absolutely not.)
Remember my cousin who just recently got covid and ended up in the hospital in a diabetic coma?
They figured out he has your type.
Type 1.

I don't think that I heard about this. I'm so sorry. :hugs
He got sick. Couldn't eat or drink which lead to severe dehydration. Fell into a coma on the way to the hospital. He tested positive for Covid which was probably the reason he was puking and such.
Spent the week in the hospital trying to get his sugar stuff under control.
He says now that he is on medicine he is feeling great.

I am not even himgry for but want to make potato soup just to get this bag of potatoes I bought used up begore they rot.
I have only made it once and I think I used heavy cream that time.

I'm going to try again now but with milk instead because I am just not going to the store.

I'm glad that he's feeling better.

Most people have DKA when they're diagnosed -- diabetic ketoacidosis, which is the presence of large amounts of ketones in the body. It tends to cause vomiting and stuff like that. Really throws your body off-kilter.
COVID was definitely not helping in the slightest, though, of course.

Tell him that I'm glad that he's doing much better now, if you get the chance (and remember). :hugs

Have you ever made scalloped potatoes? They're very good. Take a while to make, though, unless you have a mandolin or something like that.
