He’s cute! Looks tasty, too.
Thanks! And :lau I’m sure he is! I am having a bit of a dilemma because I am quite attached especially given their father was from the first eggs I ever hatched and these babies are the first babies 100% from my own flock but they crow in the middle of the dang night and all throughout the day! So I’m getting less and less attached by the minute :lau  I could keep his sisters and still have Jack kids but I love the boys too so :hit

I really think I have to cull them though or at least Freddy since Max isn’t as bad. I considered trying a no crow collar but they worry me since I’ve heard horror stories.

Bap him on the head and pin him down if he charges you.
Cuddle him in your free time.
If he keeps it up, take and post the guts pics, please.
He actually doesn’t attack me! Neither of them do. They are good boys and actually scared of me for the most part. My problem with them is they crow so dang much!!

Ooh, there are a couple of tiny flakes falling outside! Looks kind of like it's raining pearl dust.

As far as I can tell, crow collars can cause choking if they are too tight or put on incorrectly, but when used properly, the rooster is perfectly fine and functions a-okay with no problems.

That might taper off after a while. Zapraska used to crow like a mad thing in the afternoon, but he's started crowing only a few times a day, now.
Or maybe he does crow a lot, and I'm just so used to it that it kind of becomes a background buzz sort of thing.
Like screaming guineas (though that takes longer to get used to).
(Especially for when they're right outside your window.)
He might just be quiet, I dunno.

That’s good to know! I might try it then cause I’d hate to kill them but then again I bet he’d be tasty... 😂🙈🙈 I have to do something though.

I hope so!! He constantly starts crow offs with the other cockerels! 😂😬

I used to like their crowing and it’s actually kind of awesome how he and Max will sometimes crow in sync and blend together :love

But the crowing super early thing has got to stop! It’s ridiculous. I don’t mind normal early morning crowing but not middle of the night 2, 3, 4! :barnie

Oh and it’s been like months but definitely worse lately now that they both started crowing! Freddy was quiet for a while but now that he found his voice! Eeeeeeeeekkkkk!!
Neutrophil is about five months old. My mother heard him crow once, a few weeks ago, before seven in the morning.
The little twit has been totally silent since. I can't wait until he finds his big-boy voice and starts waking the dead with it.
His tidbitting sounds are hysterical -- like the sounds that you make when you rub a balloon with a moist hand. *EeeEEeERRkkKK-EEkkrr-ReEKKk.*

I think these babies are about the same age since they hatched end of July but they definitely have no problems crowing 😂 Freddy’s is actually kind of funny cause he still has this really weird noise on the tail end of his. It’s like high pitched or squeaky or something. Idk. He hasn’t QUITE figured out how to crow properly yet 😂🤣 Max’s voice is beautiful. :love I love watching Danno tidbit because it’s just so cute and all the ladies come running. :love his ladies anyway. Big girls hate him 😂
