Two are from Mt. Healthy and 3 are from Greenfire Farms -- ALL of them are really gorgeous

but technically, one Mt. Healthy girl (Sophia) has black eyes so isn't great for breeding for SoP but she lays pretty eggs

But to answer your question. I have my OG line tagged by the state for the NPIP w/ numbers so I track them that way.

These new ones I'm going to do the permanent bands in about two weeks. Plan is to make sure they standout, and easier to guide.

I'm also in the process to sourcing a shed to house the geese + two chicken coops with a three run split design. So I'll have my OG BCM's, The Cedar + Greenfire. The BCM's so far have good hackle and posture I think. They were hiding in the brush because we have canadian geese flying over near a lake, and the rooster alerts to every single one as if it's a hawk lol.

When we first got our three at 7 1/2 weeks, the Easter Egger alerted to the American Airlines commuter CRJs when they flew over. Fortunately, she has decided that they’re not a menace.

We are in the flight path for all international flights in our area. So he does tend to call for anything. Half the time im glinting and like DUDE it's a AIRPLANE. Rather him call then not I guess

Well that's strangely easy.

I'm just spit balling an idea here, but it might be a good idea to do separate hatches from both groups until you get your selections down and then start pairing the 2 groups together. You'll get some Black out of your Cedar Blues, so you'll have your 3 colors there.

Good packaging + great communication. Honestly my best hatch rate out of all the birds.

Honestly good stock so far. 4/5 of the BCM's had the gold neck dots.

Interesting enough the blues from Cedar also had the gold dots on their necks too. (Maybe just chance, but I'd like to think good quality).
