BCM, 17 days old, gender?

I have 2 marans Roos (housed separately with their own harem) and find them to be very good Roos. Like any boy they go through a rowdy phase when puberty kicks in but nothing aggressive towards us- just want to shag the girls a lot. I'd consider keeping him if you can. Plus they are gorgeous
Thanks! I am allowed to have roos, but the lots here are just a quarter acre. My neighbor closest to to coop doesn't mind if I have a roo, and she doesn't think it will be a problem for the other neighbors. I am putting up a 6' wood privacy fence as a buffer, too. I would like to have two roos, because the coop will be divided into 2 halves, each with its own run, allowing for 2 flocks of 10. A BCM on one side would be nice! Thanks for sharing your experience with your boys, that it helpful to know!

I'm pretty sure you have a cockerel. But, on a bright note, I already found someone to take two of my Blue Copper cockerels without even trying. So maybe it won't be too hard?
Thank you! I am leaning towards keeping "him." I had hoped for a pullet, but, I do have a Blue Copper Marans and a White Marans that I bought from MPC as day old females. So I will hopefully have some darker brown eggs to go with the lighter ones. And he can throw some chocolate in the mix for the offspring, lol. If I can get away with 2 roos, I was thinking the BCM in one group, and a CCL?, maybe, in the other.

Good morning all and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Since you were kind enough to weigh in on the gender of Marigold/Murph, I thought I would update everyone. Now at 10 weeks Murph started that adorable cockerel crow this morning. Here he is now:

I haven't decided which to keep. I have 2 at 10 weeks old, 2 at 6 weeks old, and at least 3 at 2weeks old from my last hatch. At least I have a freezer now!
