Oooh, you're having hatchies!! We go into lockdown on the 11th, hatch on the 14th. We are nervous/excited. Had some issues with our first hatch & think we have them resolved this time around.

I've got 4 of mediazeal's barnie eggs here in the bator. There were originally 5, but we only had 1 early quitter & the other 4 candled with moving chicks inside on day 10! So we're just leaving them alone and letting them grow and do their thing until lockdown. I'm so excited to see the barnevelder babies. They are becoming one of my favorite breeds very quickly.

I have 4 BCMs hatched, 3 more are pipped and 1 barnie is pipped
the other 3 bcm and 1 barnie are still quiet, but today is hach day so I have hope

Awww.....thanks! I'm going to be watching yours. I want some of your barnie eggs so bad, but DH says we need a plan first. As it stands right now, I have some eggs coming on the 23rd and apparently that's my quota for the season.

Maybe when we've rehomed the roosters, I can get some of your eggs.

The little Wyandotte is drying off now. My son is the one who takes all the pics, so he gets full credit. I'm sure there'll be more tomorrow.

6 bcms have hatched out of 10 eggs, 1 more is pipped, still waiting on 3 of them
1 barnie, the other one is pipped

Looks like 10/12 babies
everyone hatched but 2 of the BCM eggs
so 2 barnies & 8 marans
they were supposed to be black bred to black but looks like a few blues in there so maybe he has a blue roo over black hens after all
