BCM/OE - Hatch A Long - Mythological

I'll update the name list tonight!

But they are doing well the incubators holding temp well our humidity is a little high today. All of them seem to be developing and no stagnation in weight loss etc. If we end up having them all develop I might have to beg people in the local FB groups to take some lol.

Hmm if you want me to ship you some of the extras I might be able to get that done. (sooner then later lol). I'll get with you on this @wrathsfarm. Also just a small tidbit on my personal little farm. I'm in the process of getting NPIP certified before I get my geese (sebastopols) in the next month! So hopefully I can get all my stuff situated and have the nice little cert to hand to people wanting or needing my cute little ones :)

That's good info, thanks. I'm working on getting certified also, but wowza it's expensive here in Mi....

Just an added tidbit.. if I were hatching these Marans eggs, I would leg band all of them to keep them a separate line. Don't necessarily need to house them separate but legbanded you can track your grow outs, egg colors and breed pens easier.

Great advice. Anyone have any band advice for when they get older? I know in the past I've done plastic ones but I'd rather get tag numbers.

I know with our NPIP it's like $50 for an annual certificate and they do metal leg tags for any birds over 4 months. But would like to tag them as I grow these ones out.

I also need to create a farm name soon, and do some planning for the future. Hopefully will be making a page on the breed and stuff similar to what @wrathsfarm has :). thanks again for all the help over the last 1+ years!

Hi all a little bit of an update!

I had to remove a few eggs due to one crack and a few bad eggs/no development. I am down to 13 out of 22 I had originally set. (Not terrible for the long travel Cali->NY).

The ones that are left are as follows:

Name Update - 3/19/25
1 - Zeus - @wrathsfarm
4 - Cerberus - @Cheekychook12
6 - Pegasus - @GodLovesU
7 - Griffin - @MommyGirl
8 - Artemis - @Auntiejessi3
9 - Helena - @LaFleche
12 - Hades - @ValkerieGunn
13 - Medusa - @Slothinc
14
15 - Chimera - @WingItRanch
16 (OE)
17 (BCM/Blue)
21 (BCM/Blue)

I added a few pre-emptively out of my current BCM (rex) and a few of the girls. So assuming this one hatches it will be a F2 OE, and then the other two should be a BCM/Crossed to Blue Copper.

Weights are all an average of 62.8 grams, and the lowest is at 57 and the highest is at 68 as of 7 days.

I can't really candle still but next time I undo them to weigh I'll take a pic of them. Thanks again for the patience and sorry for the early losses :(.
