Beak Deformity

I recently bought 6 female ducklings, and I realized that one of them has a very deformed beak. They're almost two weeks old now, and her beak kind of just seems to be getting worse. She can still eat and drink, but I'm afraid that maybe someday she may not be able to. Is there some sort of solution to this or is there anything I can do to help her? Are there any snacks that she could eat easily?

I don't think there is anything you can do. But listen there is a member who's duck got part of her bill bitten off by a raccoon and she is still eating and enjoying life so hopefully your lil one will too, might want to make her feed soupy and see if she can eat it better if she is having a problem picking up dry feed. Try her on soft treats like blue berries and she maybe able to nibble on dried meal worms. Just try different things but always be there to help if she needs it. She is precious as are your others.

That is strange....It almost looks like their is no life in the end of its bill?...Its all white looking and curled...Hope it doesn't get worse....Try contacting a vet or a waterfowl rehab to see what they think could be wrong?
I agree with Miss Lydia's info as to feed and treats...

It seems the upper part of the bill is not growing or is growing much slower. I have no idea what could have caused that, perhaps it's genetic mutation. In nature it would certainly die, but perhaps you can keep it alive as long as possible. Like someone mentioned, there are ducks missing large part of bill and live a happy life. Hope it recovers though. Good luck.
