Bearded D'anver

Yes I am very happy to have Barbus. They are just wounderful pet chickens. I would love to give some away to a home where they are appreciated, but I am in Germany and export is simply impossible, but I saw that chickee had some for sale last year here in the trade and sale section and he or she is in california. Maybe s/he can ship some eggs.

Thank you. I'll look into it.

I've heard of using fake eggs to let them know where to lay. Granted idk if it works if they have stopped laying during winter. Usually that has to do with the amount of light that is in the day. I use a timer to give them 13 to 14 hours of "day light." It worked for my quail! The bigger chickens started laying again too.
Before my pullets started laying, I placed a couple of porcelain eggs in each nesting box, and they help train my now 1 year old hens to always lay their eggs in the nesting boxes.
