Now, isn't this a clever idea:

"We know a beekeeper who keeps his bees in an area that has a lot of bears. He lives far away and so can't check on his hives often. He strings one strand of electric (solar powered) fence around his hives, about 2' above the ground. He hangs a piece of bacon on each strand each spring. He says that they are attracted to the smell of the bacon, touch it with their nose and don't come back. He says that the bacon generally dries and stays on all season, if not longer, and remains effective."

I have no experience with bears or wolves ---But I think I'd use cinderblocks. Bars on tiny windows, a jail door and room for me to camp in there if they came around. I'm scared just thinking about it. (I think I've seen too many bear movies)

bait piles away from your flock scrap venison parts fish etc make the bait piles as far away from others flocks as well get the pests away from the birds HTH

the bears will be fairly easy to get to come to the bait the wolves will be a little harder, deer parts in the dead of winter bears will still probably beat them to it

you dont want to do anthing that will keep them coming back, bult into the ground ,they will eventually start digging,build it strong as u can afford and the most powerful electric shock fence you can find, lock them up at night, do not leave them with food at night
