i think a pullet is a young hen pre-laying age....
I have two roos also, and have taken my time getting brave with letting them around each other. So far so good. Mine seem to know who is boss and who is not. I realize I am taking chances but by closely observing their behavior it seems we have worked out a system. The buff orpington always takes off - anytime the black copper roo is giving him "a look" And it seems that they really don't mind each other actually.
Does your chicks legs seem to be thicker than the others? My roos legs were big and bulky compared to the others. You'll see pointy saddle feathers soon enough I would imagine if it IS a roo. My son and bf and neighbors all have gotten used to the crowing. I am the only one who it bothers it seems - and its just because I am worried about it bothering others. lol. There are some ways that work for us with the crowing. One is an air conditioner that is running in the bedroom window right now. lol. And we have a decent sized shed that they can stay in till a more polite hour. I never thought we'd be able to have one rooster let alone two. I love them. ;-)
AND I love your name. The Beatles ahhhhhh. BIG fan here too.
