Thank you, I hope so. It''s a high school teacher who graduated from the same school as both my sons. She wants it for her 5 year old daughter to learn to play. If she decides against it, I will be donating it to that same school. I've already spoken to the principal by email and he thinks either the music dept (my younger son was in marching band there) or the drama dept would like to have it.

Me, too, because she changed her mind. I can't get someone to pay me $250 lousy bucks for this gorgeous, rich-sounding piano. So, I have to donate it to the school now and can't even take it off my taxes. I swear, these days I can't win for losing.

How come you can't take it off your taxes? Real value should be about $4,000 to $6,000 if it's in reasonable shape.

Because I cannot itemize. We are at poverty level, hardly even any real estate mortgage taxes. You have to have a certain amount to itemize and unless you can, you can't claim charitable deductions unless something has changed.

You won't believe it but the school wouldn't take the donation though they seemed to want it at first. I'm back at trying to sell this beautiful piano for a pittance of its worth. I played it and it sounds wonderful still. This is a superior quality instrument, not a clunker!

I've reduced it to just $200. It was appraised for over $2400 a couple of years ago.

My sister can meet you to show it to you, serious inquiries only, please. I don't want to waste her time. I live almost 3 hrs away and can't be the one to meet folks usually.
