Because of all this rain,

I dug some mud clods and I am drying them. I will keep a few around so my ladies always have some dry dirt to dust in.

It has been about 2 weeks since they took a proper bath. Broke some clods up today and they are lining up for a shower.

Good idea. Been real rainy here and mud baths just dont cut it.

Have you considered constructing a contained and covered dust bath area? Keeps the bath dry from a ove and below and would be less work in the long run.

We are in the process of trying to figure that out for our run.

We use a movable hoop coop. I have to put in a little box for them to have consistent access to dusting. I just use a cheap plastic cat litter box.
