bedding for ducks??

For my brooders, I just go to my local Home Depot or Menards (anyplace that sells carpeting) and dig through the remnants for indoor/outdoor carpet, which I cut down to the size of my brooder floor. That way, I can just pull it out and hose it down every day.

In the adult pen, I switch between straw in the summer, pine shavings in the winter, and mulched leaves from the yard in the spring & fall!

We also have horses, so I use the chaff left behind from feeding hay. It works really well (like fine straw) and because hay is cut with the seed heads on, the ducks love to nibble on it when it's fresh.
