Bedding for linoleum floor coop?

I also use pine shavings about 4" deep, more like 6" in January when it's really cold. As long as it's deep enough they pack it down and it doesn't get slippery.

Easy enough to use some scrap wood or a 2"x4" to make a lip.

We have a 6'x8' coop. It is elevated with a plywood floor covered with the vinyl flooring. We use 2 bags of pine shavings in the coop each time we replace them.

I'm wondering if we should put up a small piece of plywood to allow for deeper shavings without falling through the chicken wire. I hope that makes sense.
Kinda...pics would help.
Is it the coop or the run?
Trying to figure why Chicken Wire would be so low to floor.
CW is not predator proof.

This is definitely for inside the coop! The run will have the 1/2" wire mesh at the bottom 3' and CW toward the top. I don't have pics because we are still working on building the coop walls. CW is being used on the inside of the shed to make dividing walls for a storage area that you walk into, then another door on the inside that goes to the coop. That way you're not walking directly into chicken poo.

OhhhhOK!
Even with HC on my coop wall, bedding gets thru.
I put up feed bags to keep it contained.
