So...this is something I was wondering about today.

What % of a beehive is foragers?

I can't think of any videos where anyone I've heard of has talked about this. But its possible people do have an idea, because sometimes it just takes bringing up an idea and people will realize they know more than they do, and just haven't talked about certain things.

This is a fun thing to talk about.

In theory there might be ranges of percentages for the other hive jobs also.

For example, people know that the number of guard bees between normal bees and africanized bees is drastically different. An africanized hive will have hundreds or thousands of guards supposedly, and may have the ability to 'comission on the spot(?)' other new guard bees in a threat. But supposedly people say a normal hive that's not africanized will always have a pretty low number of guard bees.

And people have studied this.

So if they could have studied that, then couldn't they also have ideas of the breakdowns of other hive jobs, including foragers?

What do you think about this?
