bee hive in the tree

Sorry to hijack, but I have a quick question. DH has a coworker who has a large natural hive in his backyard. This coworker doesn't want them to remain there. What's the best way to get them removed without killing them. Who should he contact?

Thanks!

Y'all are brave, brave people. I'd be halfway across the countryside after seeing that... Bees give me the heebie jeebies.

And besides, don't you folks down south have those Africanized Honey Bees? Eek! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a "bee hater" and I don't them unless they are in the house (or in the car), but I don't get close enough to take pictures like that, either! You are a brave, brave individual..

you're local ag. extension will have the # to the apiary inspector for your area and that person will either come out or know of plenty of someones who will jump at the chance to come and retrieve the.

basically, there is a soft bristle bee brush and a smoker and a box...and as long as you got the queen...you got them all....they just smoke them to subdue them and brush them into the box and they fall right in....not that there can't be obstacles....

like height or stuff in the way... but a trained person will do it.
