Get a big dog cage and keep them inside maybe? I saw one sitting in a dogcage in my local Cal, so it's possible, just set them on some boards! It could work! No predators! In the comfort of your own home! I'd do it.
Just my silly idea, but hey, maybe it'll work or give someone else an idea.

Thank you all for the support. I know you all understand the love of our chickies!! This is just not fair. The guys next to me basically neglects his dog which in turn ruins sleep for us all on a nightly occurance, but yet I love and tend to my chickens as loved pets and I am the one shut down! :(

oh wow I didnt even know we had things like this in GA. I agree with the person who said try to your nieghbors. I hope everything works out with your babies!! How many do you have right now?

Hoa covenants state you cannot change your home like that. One neighbor is a renter, th other is a foreclosed house ( one of five on my street alone I think) it wasn't a neighbor, it was a trouble making snotty witch who thinks she lives in the ritz of cluster neighborhoods, when in reality it's a glorified trailer park....and honestly, I grew up in a trailer type neighborhood.....and we treated each other better!!!! :(

Right now I have 19 but only bc I had to buy straight run and like with the ee chicks I have like 5 out of 6 are Roos and already planned on rehoming soon, that's why I can lower it to the 6 I know are girls and not be too broken hearted, but it still sucks.

That is lovely Nicole, but I am forbidden from altering the structure of the house.

They thrive in my garage. You could build a small coop and put it inside the garage without altering. Put the run outside. Our run does not touch the house.
