I walked past my apple tree yesterday and it certainly looks like the dern thing has little buds sprouting!

We've been in a warm spell - warmer than normal since the middle of decemberish when we had a horible bitter freeze.
THis morning its 35 out, and our high is in the 50's - very odd weather. I hope this isn't going to ruin the season of apples. Perhaps the tree will change its mind.

Nice place, Jared. Guess we may be staying here; every time we build something or improve something, the roots grow deeper. Already, we've lived in this house longer than any other; it will be 7 years this coming June.

Thanks Cyn. We lived in the western part of the state when we were first married. It's warmer over there too. We moved back here "temporarily" 5 years ago. DW realized she was great friends with her mom and my parents live here too. We bought this house last year and got going with our "chicken farm" and I don't think we can leave now if we wanted to. We decided that we don't ever want to leave this house and we don't want our kids to have to change schools ever so this is the place.
