About 6 months ago my stepson went to the local auction in search of a new Tom for our farm. The previous Tom was got by a predator... So he calls us and says there are 3 toms. Two of them are gorgeous, but one is pretty rough. The one he ended up getting was(you guessed it) the ugly one. It wasn't until morning that I got to see how bad off he was. Well 6 months have passed and with plenty of tlc he's made quite the comeback. Some of his tail and wing freshers are still messed up, but overall he's a handsome guy. Let's see your before and after pics!!! Here's mine.

Wow what a gorgeous guy he is now!

Thanks everyone!! After seeing what a difference we've made with Giblet, my new goal for this year is to rescue the "ugly" ones. Yes we eventually eat our birds, but they deserve to be happy and healthy in the mean time. At this particular auction the turkeys were selling for around $100. We got giblet for $25. I'm still shocked by his before pictures. I almost forgot how rough he looked.
