Also isn’t frostbite painful? I mean I know you’re not a chicken (I’m smart like that) but wouldn’t you assume it hurts?? There’s nothing to help right after the fact I mean?

Yes it's painful. Some people use salve, Vaseline type stuff to try to prevent/soothe it... I don't.

The problem I have with Vaseline/petroleum jelly it's suppose to not freeze at 32 degrees but it will freeze. As far as I know there's no data of what that freeze point is.

I've read people in extreme negative weather 'dub' combs at an early age to prevent frostbite.

I'm no expert on this but I see the reasoning as a preventative measure in extreme cold areas.
