Day 19?  Yes, go for it.  Should be fine..take those towels out, and yes, I like to put my eggs on their sides personally.  I also keep the plugs out of the top of the bator, both, if you have two.  Put a damp sponge in..I use those a lot too.  They keep the moisture pretty good.

Do you think it'll mess up their hatch position if I move them on their sides after being in the carton straight up not being turned for 24 hours??

Ahh, just came on to see this..no, they should be fine. Just watch which side is facing more up, put them down that side up.
