Beginning an "Unexpected" Backyard Flock of Rouen Ducks

...and I should probably mention that they were fine for about a year before our girl was killed...
 
That's great to hear! Thanks for your input. Do you raise ducks for eggs? If so, how do you keep the eggs from being fertilized by the male. Do you have to keep the males separated from the females?
I have a Rouen and blue Swede male . She's a good egg layer so far.
The eggs are fertilized. But I gather them up and refrigerate and use them .and have no probs . They only mate in water
