Belgian bantam thread!

I'd like to know more about them. How cold tolerant are they? What is there temperament like? Are they broody? Really don't know much about them. But want too!

Well I can tell ya it's about 29 right now with 3 inches on ground where I'm at. They seem to be moving around still. Last summer I had my two hens go broody and where stubborn about it. I did let one hen hatch two eggs, sex link mix and a D'anver chick.

Hello!
My two hens do great where I am and seem to do great in any weather (oh the glories of the American Midwest). They like to be held and follow me around all day, though they are much louder than my other birds. I only had had mine for a couple months, so I wouldn't be able to tell how broody they are, but on the BYC Breeds list, they are listed as frequent broodies.

I was also wondering,
How many barbu D'Anvers you all have,
And which colours?
And also do you show or breed them?
I have 2 breeding sets of barbu D'Anvers.
In one set I have 1 rooster and 5 hens
And in the other I have 1 rooster and 3 hens.
I also show them.
They are all quail colour.

Only two hens at the moment, both are quail. I got them for my D'uccle rooster and I plan on showing them when the season for it starts.
