I will! I want broodiness in my birds (for now at least lol) so it's a trait I want to encourage, and they've been laying in the little box my mom made me build for cold nights to lock them all in so they won't freeze which has a door so I can keep her separated from the others if needed. Just need to see if she'll keep broody now! She's on two eggs and if she holds overnight I'll probably give her back one or two that I collected over the last few days to increase the odds of not having a single chick hatch.

Sounds like a great plan! I love broodies so much, and it's a trait I definitely want in my birds

I found her roosting with everyone else at bed time so it looks like it didn't quite stick, I brought the eggs in and put one of the ceramic training eggs in their place, if she decides to go full out broody she can have the eggs back but I'd rather not have any freeze so unless she proves she's gone full broody she can guard that one from the others.

She's been sitting on at least one egg all day and is still there after everyone else has roosted for the night so it looks like she's finally figured it out! She growled something fierce when I opened the box to check for eggs thinking she was roosted with everyone else.

Glad to hear that! Let the brooding commence!

I got 3 Alfredo babies to hatch on Tuesday! So I decided we needed a little photo shoot :) I also got one blue quail baby from my Iceman and quail hen group! I wasn’t sure it would actually hatch due to the very weird egg shape (long and skinny!) but it’s a happy and adorable little one! I love them 😍😍😍

Your silvery chick is adorable!

The world's angriest cotton ball has figured out she should go back to her nest after eating breakfast so I gave her back an egg I collected a few days ago so we'll see if she manages to hatch it or not. She is quite a fierce little thing given that she weighs less then a large soda can.
