The world's angriest cotton ball has figured out she should go back to her nest after eating breakfast so I gave her back an egg I collected a few days ago so we'll see if she manages to hatch it or not. She is quite a fierce little thing given that she weighs less then a large soda can.

Some updated pictures of the new babies! the little one with white on it’s face already has two teensy weensy spines I think in honor of Alfredo, the two black babies will be Pesto and Marinara

Aquaman is actually DC comics but you could do Pyro if you want to stick with the X-Men theme.

My one Watermaal girl that’s fertile laid another fertilized egg about 21 days ago! Meet Iceman’s second child! This time we got a quail baby, and while I’m not 100% on Watermaal combs yet…I’d be floored if this one is a girl. That thing already has some depth and width to it! I just cannot believe how tiny they are

My hens choice eggs didn't disappoint and I had 9/10 make it to lockdown and 7/9 hatch, including one that has been under Pipsqueak! I ended up with 6 white chicks and 1 black. I did give Pipsqueak a second chick and she's been an amazing mother so far and both chicks are lively and happy. I'm really hoping for some girls from this batch to even my numbers out a bit but it's also just making me more excited to set my breeding pens up and put some more chicks on the ground. Everybody is banded so I'll have a much easier time watching individual growth with this batch.

Congratulations! Wonderful to see these cute little chicks, and hear that you've had a good hatch! Mum looks very very happy, that last photo is adorable!

Hi. I have these from greenfire. They no longer ship them as day old so I don’t have a definite hatch date. They should be about 5 weeks old and there is as no color selection. I assume they are all quail. Can you tell me the gender yet.
