I'd give her 2 days... if the vites clear it up by day 2, then I would think it's more than likely a deficiency... genetic seems to be much harder to pull out of stargazing...

Stick her in a tea cup to keep her upright would help... just put a piece of gripper shelf liner or somethjng similar in the bottom to keep her from slipping around... hope she pulls through... and maybe see if you can get some eggs from a different source???

I will try the cup idea. She looks so pathetic and sad on her back, 'mammahen' kicks in and makes me want to end the suffering. If she can stay upright, that would help though.

I'm pretty much done with hatching chicks after this. 13 eggs, 3 hatch, 2 are screwed up. It's too disheartening.
I'm just glad I bought the BO, and Welsummer, and adopted the Ameraucana. I'm determined on making the Buff a therapy chicken, the Welsummer, and Ameraucana are good candidates as well. Einstein (the one I hatched) is a punk haha. I'm worried that Einstein and Darwin (the one I adopted) could be boys, and then my flock of 4 will be a flock of two...
