Bento Box Fever!

ninjapoodles, I love looking at everyone's photos in the forum. I took some photos of my boxes but haven't posted yet. I am pretty new to the bento boxes. Are you selling this item or just giving? I would be glad for either. And do you think its worth mailing it to NC? I could reimburse shipping.

Ps. your PM inbox is full

I made some beef stew for supper and am going to make him some tiny corn muffins to go into it. I will have to take a pic when it is finished. Yea! Thanks so much for telling those of us who weren't aware of these boxes about them. How fun!

Gah, I need to clean out the inbox. Anyone can always email me, ninjapoodlesATgmailDOTcom. I paid $1.50 for that onigiri box, plus whatever pro-rated shipping would be, probably around another buck or two, from Ichiban-Kan. So I'd sell it for cost plus whatever shipping would be (it weighs next to nothing).

I LOVE Ichiban Kan!!!! Their prices are so low. I've ordered twice now and my husband claims he has to add on to the kitchen so we have enough cabinets to hold everything. He's exaggeerating a bit.

I have my computer back !!!!!!! Wooohoooo!!!

thank you now this box came with NO using in microwave!?! I know I read somewhere on this that someone with the same thing put just the bottom in the microwave to reheat? Also it says NO dishwasher or immersing, now come on "just wipe out"? that makes no sense at all to me. I need to know if he can put the stew in the microwave ..but only the open container and not the lid to that particular box?

Yikes, I've run mine through the dishwasher lots of times! Not the outer box, but the inner containers, on the top rack. I've never microwaved them, but I kinda thought that was sort of the point of having the removable boxes, so that you could warm food in them.

Ok, on the "instructions sheet" that came with the lunch box, it says NO to everything, but in the "User's Guide" book, on page 51, in the second paragraph, it talks of using a microwave for soups, etc. This is one of those ...the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.

so he was very pleased to be off with his new lunch box filled with appetizing foods. Now I am planning his lunch for tomorrow, disappointed he doesn't work Friday, Sat. or Sunday...

just so I can keep making up lunches. Just kidding. He works his forty hours in four days and is pooped. He leaves here before five a.m. and returns a bit after five in the evening. so I really want to make him a good lunch. Pita sandwiches for tomorrow or roll ups.
I love this thread!! And all my BYC friends on this thread, you guys are great!
