Welcome to Backyard Chickens!!! Glad u joined the flock!! I am so sorry to hear about your flock! I know how its since I lost 5 of mine due to a possum!!! Sometimes you wish you could get the possums and take them far far away somwhere! You will love this site if you ever wanna learn more about chickens!!! I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you find a companion (or 2) for your girl.

I would suggest you get two female companions for her. If you only get one and someone passes, you are back in the same predicament. My friend has house chickens. She had one silkie hen and 2 matronly serama hens. The seramas were there first and bullied the silkie. Now one of the seramas has passed and they are getting along better.
