I thought I had coyote and fox problems. They got about 20 + of my flock at the barn. I spent alot of $$$ on have a heart traps and got alot of advice from well meaning good ole boys here in the south. After attempting to do it on my own and carrying my new Mossberg 20 guage with me whenever I went to the barn, I hired a professional trapper. He came out one night, set three leg traps using plenty of smelly lure and the remains of the last kill since they didnt eat it all. I also added just alittle added item to that said chicken...just in case. We caught one mangy fox, the neighbors dog and one of my chickens. I killed the fox, called the neighbor, and released the chicken after placing her in a cage becasue of a broken leg. After that, we have not had any more chicken losses. But bite the bullet, call a professional. I watched him call using the distressed rabbit call at dusk, amazing to watch and hear. Didnt get any that night, but did the next night. Good luxck
