Best bator for the money.....

I was waiting to see someone else that doesn't like the Eco 20. I bought one because of the rave reviews on BYC, but I don't like the egg rails, hard to add water, much less see the wells and the autoturner turns it so far you can't read the thermometer. I also don't think there is enough room for hatching.

I'm going to either get a Dickey or one from wwwcustomincubators.com

I wouldn't waste my money on the one from customincubators.com I got one about a month ago, and I am still trying to get it to hold a uniform temperature. The fan doesn't circulate the air well enough to warm the bottom racks, and it has poor ventilation (actually it has none at all!!!). I ordered another PC fan to add to it, so we will see if that helps. I wish I would have just saved my money for a Dickey Incubator!

So did I, Becky. I disagree with the BYC reviews giving rave reviews.

So many things I hate about the Brinsea Eco in addition to the ones you mention. The black tray should be white, so when you clean it you can see ALL the particles. My hand slips when I try to take the lid off.... poor grippers. Ya have to unscrew the entire top of the unit to clean the fan area of dander. It does not hold humidity (no humidity pump). You can not submerge the bottom piece; ya just have to use the "rinse it out," type cleaning and wipe down the outside.

I hate it!

Thanks for the heads up. I had decided that by the time you add the turners ($150), it was only $150 cheaper than a Dickey. Now to decide 2x2 or 3x1....

Kryp, I have an Electronic, Forced Air Octagon Incubator that I've used one time. It has a great hatch rate and just about impossible to get too hot. It has the perfect settings. It holds 60 Chicken eggs. PM me, as I am going to sell it because my husband bought me the same one.

So now I have two. I have been very pleased with it, and it washes up sooo easy after a hatch. I am getting ready to place it on BYC.
