Best brand of duck food.

I feed mine ducks and ducklings layer feed (for chickens) I used to be feeding crubles but like feather finder said they waste it. They like pellets much more.

For ducks id say just about anything you might throw in there and move out of there way............for mine i see how they look at me sometimes i wonder if im next....

The only thing available in the local feed and grain is PERFECTION brand all porpouse poltry feed and i mix it with Family Farm chicken egg layer crumble, high in protien, is about 17 dollars a 50lb bag and watermellon, frozen pees and veggies as well as occaionally they can eat the grass, but mostly feed rite now. i will have to try the dog food kibble fgrom wallmart. cool as long as its healthy.

You get the smaller peices, i prefere cat food its allready bite sized for the peafowl and other birds. the dog eats it too...

We feed Purina Duck Chow in the pellet form as they seem to waste less. I don't think it is the "best" but it is what I have available to me.

They do like to sit under the bird and squirrel feeders and eat any fallen seeds/nuts.

The bag I use has smaller kibbles, and plus I only feed it to adults and juveniles with ample clean water. Babies and younguns still get a starter crumble and I've even done a home made mash with great success (gerber baby cereal flakes, cornmeal, ground flax seed, leftover baby food veggies/fruits, or cooked beans.)

I feed my ducks Mazuri Waterfowl Maintenance pellets. They love it and it's only 14 percent protein. The local feed store orders it in special for me and I get it for $35 for a 50-pound bag. That's more then the regular chicken feed, but they EAT it up and waste less.
