Doesn't hurt to have them run one. If I had just one dog I might. So far I haven't seen a reason to run one, plus their monthly heartguard plus helps out. All of my dogs have great poops.
If they were having problems I definitely would check them out. Loose poops can also be a sign of intestinal parasites.

That’s what Brew is on too but he’s also on a heart worm one although we just ran out.
