Oh boy...he probably has worms! Make the vet appointment.Nails trimmed since I can’t do them and also pretty sure he needs his anal glands expressed and no way in heck am I doing that myself LOL I probably could but I would 100% throw uphe’s been dragging his bum on my carpet and the deck and anywhere. He also needs some shots and something is up with his ear. Keeps shaking his head.
Will do!Oh boy...he probably has worms! Make the vet appointment.
Thanks! Good info. I’ll have them do a fecal just in case. He is on heartworm meds as well as the flea and tick kind but I’ll have them check. I haven’t seen any worms in his poop but just in case.Scooting is usually anal gland. They generally throw up more when they have intestinal worms. The only worm that usually will make them scoot is tape worms because those will crawl out the back end and wiggle about. Tapeworms generally come from dogs consuming fleas. My one rat terrier would mouse and eat them. Mice always have fleas and will give dogs tape worms.
If you use a monthly heartworm pill than some of those have a wormer in them. Otherwise taking in a fecal is always a good idea yearly to check.
