I am thinking of getting about 5 pairs of pigeons for squabbing. I am planning to get Texas Pioneers. My question is about the best setup for the cage. Is it best to keep each pair in a separate cage, sort of like a rabbit hutch? Or would a communal cage work better? If I went the route of the modified rabbit hutch, what size would be best for a pair of largish pigeons and a squab? Something like 36"X36", and about 24 inches high? Thanks in advance for any tips you can offer.
