Best Chick Lot Boot

My daughter bought these for me for my birthday. If I were going to be wearing them all day instead of on and off as I go in and out doing mucky/wet-day chores I'd get a set of gel insoles for them, but with my customary wool hiking socks (the secret to being on your feet without getting sore feet), they are perfectly comfortable.

They're solid, but not too heavy and have room to tuck my jeans in despite my thick calves.

Not cute, but maxed on on functional. :)
Thanks for the link! I totally agree with you on good socks! Sorry for the late reply, life gets in the way. I especially like the tread design on the boots, I am out in the frosty mornings walking on slick leaves, mud, straw, you name it and REALLY want to avoid a broken anything.
Have a great holiday!

I do the shorter rain boots for the barn, this way they are easier to slip on and they are still above the ankle. I always buy them around this time each year for the next year because they are normally less than $10 instead of $40 or more.

Lol. I jinxed myself, talking about boots. I always leave my chicken shoes on the back deck...this am, I go to put them on, so I can go to the coop, and one is missing. Have no idea were it went or what took it.:barnie
Have you noticed an animal walking around with one shoe on? An elk, sheep, cougar, etc.?

Good idea! I don't always look forward to taking the extra time to put on long boots, probably why I have worn out my Sloggers. Those things are great but they will wear out. I use them year round and only go for the long boots if it is raining heavily.

I like footwear with shallow treads, even in winter, because they don't pack with 'gunk'.
Have a pair of ankle boots for winter, but they are wearing thru on the bottom.
Fixed one hole with shoegoo, not sure they'll last much longer tho.

That's one of the things I like about the boots DD bought for me. They just slip on.

Since we're still in this cabin while the final steps on the house are completed, I even use them for nighttime visits to the port-a-john since they're actually easier to get into than my ankle-high fuzzy slippers.

Yes, my ankle boots have front zips, with good gussets.
One zipper broke so I leave both unzipped for slip on function.

What is this stuff? Where do I get it? I'm down to ONE pair of shoes that I can wear around the house that don't hurt my feet, and they have "improved," ie, discontinued that style. :rant
Shoegoo
Yes, can't find boots like these anywhere.
The house slippers I like can't be had anymore either(shoegoo won't fix those).
