Best Christmas Present Ever!

My 24 ladies are about 5 months old, and as of this morning had not laid. When I went to check them this afternoon, I got a wonderful Christmas surprise!

Not 1 but 2 eggs! One was super tiny & brown, the other a little bigger & whitish pink! Will have to start paying attention to guess which hens they were! I’m so happy!

If anyone else gets a lovely Christmas surprise, feel free to share!

Congrats! Thought I had an early Christmas present yesterday too but, it turns out, they just pulled older eggs (3!) from under the coop, lol. Wouldve been nice but alas. The brown egg layers are still too young so I dont know what I was even thinking, tbh.

One of my 7 month old Bielefelders layed a Christmas Eve egg which I found this morning in one of the nesting boxes, and another one today, early evening. I found it in the run before I locked my girls up for the night. Two tiny brown perfect eggs!
The best Christmas gifts ever, and totally worth the wait. Wish I knew which one gave us the gifts, lol!
