Best cover for a 'hoop coop' tractor?

I have a 8'x10' hoop house tractor that I raise my broilers in. It's covered with 'heavy duty' poly tarps that I bought at TSC. Unfortunately they only last 2 years before shredding due to UV, hot/cold, snow, etc. I've tried the silver/black and green/black models but both last about the same.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a better cover? I've heard of old billboard signs, but they were very pricey.

I don't think you're going to find anything better. I take the tarp off mine in the Winter and that extends its life to 3 seasons. I quit wasting the money on the heavier tarps and buy the cheaper one knowing I am going to have to replace it at some point.

The life of this material is limited to the amount of ultraviolet inhibitors included in it's construction to overcome the damaging effects of the sun.
Agricultural curtains have a high level of UV inhibitors, are of finer (therefore stronger) weave, and are generally thicker. They will take more sun and more abuse than consumer type curtains. And the material usually costs less. Small quantities are available but at a greater cost. Maybe about equal to the premade tarp size.

If you hyappen to live in an area that a lot of broiler chickens, turkeys, dairy cattle or hogs are raised in ther may be a building supplier/contractor locally that would have remnants

I know of a situation where a piece of this type material was streched over goat panels and lasted as a roof for 5 years..
