Best crested breed hen for cold and free range. Appenzeller the winner?

I have both a Spitz and Swedish Flower Hens. Both from Sweden, both excellent free rangers and both super outgoing personalities. The Spitz is loud as hens go. She like to talk, but that's part of her charm. The SFH's are also outgoing. You couldn't go wrong with either of these. Oh, and they do well in the cold. They are always the first ones out the coop and don't mind the snow.

So many chicken breeds, so little time! I don't mind loud, I don't have any neighbors. :gig
